The Diamond Head Theatre has outdone itself with a dazzling production of White Christmas, delivering holiday cheer wrapped in a heartfelt story and a ribbon of spectacular performances. Directed with finesse and featuring a standout cast, this beloved musical enchants from start to finish.

Adam Allison embodies Bob Wallace with a commanding presence and smooth vocals that capture the character's warmth and charm. His rendition of "Count Your Blessings" is a tender highlight that lingers in the heart. He told the audience during the talkback he was delivering a door dash to Manoa Valley Theatre, and expressed an interest in acting. They told him there were auditions at Diamond Head Theatre so he made a dash for the auditions, and wound up getting the starring role. It’s amazing that a man with so much talent has gone undiscovered for so long. But Diamond Head Theatre knows talent when they see it, and made a wise casting decision!

David Sheftell’s Phil Davis is the perfect foil to Wallace—charismatic, playful, and endlessly entertaining. Sheftell’s comedic timing and impressive dance skills bring joy to every scene he graces, particularly during the exuberant "The Best Things Happen While You’re Dancing."

Lainey Hicks as Betty Haynes delivers a powerhouse performance, her voice soaring in every number. She brings a perfect balance of strength and vulnerability to the role, making Betty's journey both compelling and deeply relatable. Her mother is Mary Chesnut Hicks.

Mary Chesnut Hicks steals scenes as Martha Watson, infusing the role with wit, warmth, and a commanding stage presence. Her comedic timing is impeccable, and her musical moments are a treat, particularly the spirited "Let Me Sing and I’m Happy."

Alexandria Zinov’s Judy Haynes is a delight, lighting up the stage with her effervescent energy and magnetic charm. Her chemistry with Sheftell is palpable, creating a dynamic that’s both romantic and fun.

Joe Martyak as General Waverly anchors the story with quiet dignity and heartfelt depth. Martyak’s portrayal of the retired general, struggling to find his place post-military, is authentic and moving, resonating deeply with the audience.

Mo Radke as Ralph Sheldrake adds an extra layer of charm and humor to the show. Radke’s easy charisma and engaging delivery make every scene he’s in a standout, providing both levity and connection to the larger story.

Young Charlotte Miyahira as Susan Waverly is a revelation, bringing youthful exuberance and poise beyond her years. Her solo moments are charming, and she captures the audience's heart every time she steps on stage.

Federico Biven as Ezekiel Foster is a delightfully quirky addition to the cast. His humorous portrayal of the laconic handyman brings a rustic charm to the production, adding moments of lightheartedness that the audience thoroughly enjoys. This is the third time Biven has appeared as Foster in White Christmas at Diamond Head Theatre.

From the intricate choreography to the stunning costumes and set design, every aspect of this production is a feast for the senses. The ensemble cast deserves praise for their seamless performances, creating a magical backdrop for the main cast's brilliance.

Diamond Head Theatre’s White Christmas is more than just a holiday show—it’s a celebration of community, talent, and the joy of storytelling. If you’re looking to capture the spirit of the season, this production is an unmissable treat. Bravo to the entire cast and crew for delivering a performance that will be remembered long after the snowflakes melt!
